Using BBH2-Control Performance Metrics for the Optimal Actuator Location of Distributed Parameter Systems

چکیده
This paper is concerned with the use of H2-control performance metrics in finding optimal actuator locations for a class of infinite-dimensional systems. Conditions that guarantee convergence of the optimal actuator location for the finitedimensional representation of the infinite-dimensional system to the optimal actuator location of the original infinite-dimensional system are provided. Minimizing an H2-performance index, parameterized by the possible actuator locations and disturbance functions, leads to optimal locations that in addition to enhanced performance, also provide robustness with respect to the spatial distribution of disturbances. Numerical studies for a cantilever beam and a diffusion problem are used to demonstrate the effects of the spatial distribution of disturbances on the optimal actuator location. The effect of the diffusivity parameter on the best actuator locations is also considered.

Studying Dynamic behavior of Distributed Parameter Processes Behavior Based on Dominant Gain Concept and it’s Use in Controlling these Processes
In this paper, distributed parameter process systems behavior is studied in frequency domain. Based on the dominant gain concept that is developed for such studies, a method is presented to control distributed parameter process systems. By using dominant gain concept, the location of open loop zeros, resulted from the time delay parameter in the process model, were changed from the right half p...
متن کاملOptimal Control for Switched Distributed Parameter Systems with Application to the Guidance of a Moving Actuator
The present study considers a hybrid controller scheme for the optimal switching of a moving (or scanning) actuator (MA) for a class of distributed parameter systems (DPS). The proposed hybrid controller switches both the location and control signal of the actuator at the beginning of a time interval and remains unchanged over the duration of the time-interval. As time progresses, the above pol...

Rehabilitation and assistive systems such as rotary series elastic actuators (RSEA) should provide the desired torque precisely. In this paper, to improve the life quality of those who suffer from weak knees, the control problem of a rotary series elastic actuator (RSEA) has been studied in order to generate soft human walking motion. These actuators produce the require torque, but the nonlinea...
متن کاملOptimal Sensor and Actuator Locations in Linear Distributed Parameter Systems
A constructive method is developed to obtain optimal sensor and actuator locations for inverse optimal state estimation and control of a class of linear distributed parameter systems (DPSs). Given the inverse optimal state estimators and controllers for linear DPSs developed by the first author recently, it is shown that the performance index for optimal locations of sensors and actuators is th...

In this paper, we present a new method to determine the optimal location and parameter settings of UnifiedPower Flow Controller (UPFC) for removing voltage violations and transmission lines overloading. UPFC isconsidered as the most powerful member of the FACTS devices, that it can control shunt and series power flow. This option gives to UPFC the power to control the voltage profile and transmi...
